Course Information

At every level, we improve when we practice skills DELIBERATELY " —Natasha Prenn, LCSW

This course will be based on Natasha's new book, co-authored with Hanna Levenson, PhD, Deliberate Practice in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (APA 2025 sold out in pre-orders -over 1,000 copies).

Participants will learn the skill criteria for 13 AEDP skills and using these ‘instructions’ will practice all 13 skills grooving them into their ‘muscle memory’ until they are automatic. The skills include moment-to-moment tracking, use of the self to undo aloneness, the use of self-disclosure and meta-processing, affirmative engagement with defenses and working with anxiety (State One work); advanced skills include setting up portrayals and the integration of experiential techniques with psychoeducation to support and sustain therapeutic work.
